What are the rewards and challenges experiences by those running the groups?

HCFF Chair

Hampshire Children & Families Forum (HCFF) are looking for someone to Chair their local Eastleigh Borough branch meetings.  These termly meetings brings together families and those working with families in Eastleigh Borough to share information, promote forthcoming events, and work together to respond to families needs – for example the hugely successful Under Fives Fun Days that take place each summer in two locations in the Borough.

These meetings are informal, friendly affairs, where parents, health professionals, librarians, childminders and other representatives of statutory, voluntary or commercial organisations (in fact anyone with an interest in the welfare of children, young people and families) have an opportunity to meet each other. At most meetings an invited guest speaker will tell us about some interesting aspect of their work and every meeting finishes with an opportunity for members to share information.

Apart from chairing the branch meetings and proofreading the Newsletter, the Chair provides local support to mentor the co-ordinator with their identified tasks.

If you are interested in finding out more please contact the local co-ordinator Linda Knowles on 023 8069 7281 (eastleigh@hcff.org.uk) or the Area Manager Jane Parker on 01489 691647 (south@hcff.org.uk.)
