Autism Alert Cards |
The aim of the Alert Card is to
support people with Austic Spectrum Disorder should they find themselves in
any type of contact with the Police. Hampshire Autistic
Society, in partnership with Hampshire Police, will launch the Alert Card
Project on 7th October 2008.
The card should be carried at all times and shown to an Officer in the

person in an appropriate manner and contact a named person listed on the back
of the card to assist with supporting the person during their time in Police

Flu Immunisation |
FLU IMMUNISATIONInfluenza (Flu) is a
highly infectious illness, which spreads very rapidly by coughs and sneezes
from people who are already carrying the virus. Flu symptoms hit you suddenly
and severely and usually include fever, chills, headaches and aching muscles,
often with a cough and sore throat at the same time. Anyone can get Flu, but it
can be more serious for people aged 65 years or over and people of any age
(including children over 6 months of age) with a serious medical condition. A
repeat flu jab is required EVERY year. CARERS: If
you’re the carer of an elderly or disabled person make sure they have a flu
jab. You should also get the jab yourself if their welfare is at risk if you
fall ill. Ask your GP for advice. http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/news.asp?articleID=1271 |
